The Border Collie Spot
Welcome to The Border Collie Spot.
The Border Collie Spot is the name of Gill White’s border collie rescue organisation, named in loving memory of her most beloved Border Collie, Spot!
Spot was born at the White Cottage, the last of a litter of six puppies and as the last puppy born, Gill had to breathe into his lungs to bring him to life. That was the start of a long and wonderful relationship spanning fifteen years.
Spot was a very special dog, he was devoted to Gill and she never went anywhere without him. She trained him to the highest level in obedience and he worked right up to championship class.
This site is primarily intended for the rescue, care and adoption of unwanted, abandoned and abused border collies.
Regular visitors will know that this is a brand new design of our web site. We hope you enjoy the new page named ‘Spotted!’ which is a place dedicated to your collie photos, stories, notices, tributes, in fact anything to do with border collies! You told us how much you enjoyed our old site and we hope you love this one too, please let us know what you think.
Enjoy! from the team at The Border Collie Spot.

A Special Thank You
All the unwanted and neglected collies in Wales want to say a huge thank you to Sandra Savage one of our adopters and supporters for her most generous donation towards Rogers transport van.
Roger now has his van and has already visited us with a full load of dogs. Without the support of friends like Sandra many dogs would be left to die. Thank you Sandra and all our kind supporters, together we can help so many more intelligent beautiful collies from living a life of hell.
Thank you so much
Gill and all the collies at The Spot
The Plum Pudding Walk
It is a sad fact that each December and January more dogs enter Rescues than at any other time of year, this year will be no exception.
There are dogs that will be given as presents, puppies bred for the Christmas market, others, lifelong friends give up due to the present financial climate, these dogs, for whatever reason need our help.
We all love Christmas, good food, great gifts and lots of festive fun, we also love to have fun with our dogs. Can you spare a little time for a walk?
We ask you to join with us in a fun walk with or without your four legged best friend, to raise funds for all the dogs in residence at The Border Collie Spot and for those we will inevitably take in over winter. You can do as much or as little as you like, you can raise funds with dog walking mates or your training club. Do a fancy dress walk with friends. For every £25 raised you will receive a rosette to be proud of!
Please request a sponsorship form, fill it in and return it to Angela by e-mailing info@thebordercolliespot.com.
We hope you will join in and wish you ‘happy walking!’
Angie
