The Border Collie Spot

Welcome to The Border Collie Spot.

The Border Collie Spot is the name of Gill White’s border collie rescue organisation, named in loving memory of her most beloved Border Collie, Spot!

Spot was born at the White Cottage, the last of a litter of six puppies and as the last puppy born, Gill had to breathe into his lungs to bring him to life. That was the start of a long and wonderful relationship spanning fifteen years.

Spot was a very special dog, he was devoted to Gill and she never went anywhere without him. She trained him to the highest level in obedience and he worked right up to championship class.

This site is primarily intended for the rescue, care and adoption of unwanted, abandoned and abused border collies.

Regular visitors will know that this is a brand new design of our web site. We hope you enjoy the new page named ‘Spotted!’ which is a place dedicated to your collie photos, stories, notices, tributes, in fact anything to do with border collies! You told us how much you enjoyed our old site and we hope you love this one too, please let us know what you think.

Enjoy! from the team at The Border Collie Spot.

The Border Collie Spot Fun Walk

12TH SEPTEMBER 2010

Hi, I’m Wizzy,

That’s me on that picture there, next to my bruvva Inkie, I was born at the Spot in January, last year.

I have putting paw to thought on how to raise much needed funds for the Spot, how about a Sponsored Fun Walk??? It dosn’t have to be a marathon and it dosn’t need to be far from home, you could use your morning walk and double it. Why not ask your family, friends, club mates and other people you know to sponsor you.

You choose the venue and the walk distance, it’s that simple. I’m going to walk all the countryside parks managed by my local council.

Every dog that raises £50.00 gets a special three tier rossette and there is a two tier rossette if you raise £25.00. The dog that raises the most gets a special rossette and sash for your human walking companion.

When you complete your walk, all you need to do is return your sponsorship form and the appropriate cheque (made payable to Border Collie Spot), with a S.A.E for the return of your rossette. If possible e-mail photos of your walk and we will include these on the website.

Please join with me and do what ‘us collies’ do best… go walking!

Looking forward to the patter of many paws.

Love WIZZI xxxx

Please e-mail us for a sponsorship form at info@thebordercolliespot.com
